Conclusion of the First Cultural Competition Organized by the Jerusalem Youth Cultural Forum
The first cultural competition organized by the JYCF concluded amidst an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and high sportsmanship. The final stage of the competition featured six teams that qualified from the first round: Al-Mawlawiyya, Jabal Al-Mukabber Mixed School (two teams), Jerusalem We Are Its Children, Ali Bin Abi Talib Boys School, and Al-Fataa Al-Laji’a Primary School.
After an intense and competitive showdown, the team from Al-Mawlawiyya School secured first place, winning the first-place trophy and a cash prize of $200. The team “Jerusalem We Are Its Children” came in second place, receiving the second-place trophy and a cash prize of $140. Meanwhile, the team from Ali Bin Abi Talib Boys School took third place, earning the third-place trophy and a cash prize of $100.
This year’s competition saw the participation of 84 students, both male and female, from various Jerusalem schools, competing individually or representing their schools.
The competition was overseen by a distinguished judging panel consisting of Ms. Du’aa Qaraqra, Ms. Maysa Shuqair, and Mr. Yahya Abu Sway, who praised the performance of the teams and the spirit of competition.
At the conclusion of the event, Mr. Mohammad Al-Awar honored the winning students and the participating schools, emphasizing the importance of such competitions in strengthening and reviving the Jerusalemite identity among the children & youth of Jerusalem, as well as fostering cultural awareness and pride
